A Few Projects

This week my blogging will be quite light.  The kids are at 'Ogren Angus Camp' aka my parents house.  And as tempting as it is to wear my pajamas all day, shop, and eat fabulous meals, I'll be tackling several painting projects.

First is the laundry room.  This room has driven me crazy since the day we moved in.  I kind of dread doing laundry simply because of the country blue walls.  This room will be getting a fresh coat of paint and reorganized shelves.

Second is the guest bathroom.  For such a small space this room is utterly unremarkable.  Since I know I can't pull up the tiled floor, a warmer paint color will (hopefully) make this space seem cozier.

Third is the kids bathroom.  Caroline had a thing for lighthouses.  She's now over it.  And I'm tired of cream walls.  Paint and new decor is in order!

I'll be back with the 'after' photos!  Until then, happy painting!

Can You Believe It?!?

After many months of being technically homeless (although my mom hates it when I say that) we spent one day looking at 17 homes and found a winner!

We will be moving to Sioux Falls in early April!

The Weekend

Over the weekend we decided to stick around the house so Nate could finish up some projects. One of them was to create a coat rack for our new foyer. He found a picture of one that was a little different in Family Handyman magazine. I think it looks great and adds some interest to the tall wall. It was really easy (or so Nate says) and the hanger part was actually cheap door pulls that I found at Menards.
Eventually it stopped raining, so Caroline and I were able to outside for awhile.
We went to Target and Caroline found a new Halloween cup that she just had to have. Notice that there's not a top to it. She was a very careful drinker and only spilled a little.
